ANNOUNCEMENTS: September 19, 2022
This week & next week, NHS Theatre will be having a canned food drive. Items donated will be given to a Hamilton County food pantry.
Bring your canned goods to the auditorium lobby from September 26th through October 7th. Donate your cans to help Hamilton County!
Homecoming dance ticket sales will be Monday-Thursday at lunch and in the morning in Student Services. Tickets are $10. The dance will be on the new South Plaza of Beaver Field from 7:30-10:30 Saturday 9/24.
Miller Nation! Have you ever wanted an opportunity to put a pie in the face of some of your favorite NHS staff? Or maybe some of your least favorites? Well, during Homecoming week you could win a chance to do just that! Grab any coins or bills you have and put them in the bucket of your "favorite" staff member during lunch. This is a Coin War, so all coins count towards positive votes for a pie in the face; bills count as negative votes. The staff member with the most positive
total will get a pie in the face! All proceeds will go to the NHS PTO. Go Millers!
Please complete your 2022-2023 State Mandatory Training by October 7th. The assignment is in the NHS Student 2022-2023 course.
Spanish Club will meet during AL on September 20th. We will learn about the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain and will finalize preparations for the homecoming parade. You must create a pass by the end of block 6 to come at 2:40 to Mrs. Delp's Room 1220. Thanks!
Want to show your friends how smart you are?
Quiz Bowl Call-out!
Quiz Bowl is a fast-paced buzzer competition in which teams of four players compete to answer questions that cover academic subjects like literature and science as well as the broader world of culture and current events.
Call-out Meeting will be held during AL on September 22nd in Room 2075
Questions? Contact Mrs. Shaffer (skylee_shaffer@nobl.k12.in.us)
First competition is September 29!
Students interested in joining the Miller Reader Club should request an AL Pass from Mrs. Misetic for Tuesday, September 20th. We will meet in the library to discuss our book choices for the year. If you would like to join but can't make the meeting, please email Mrs. Misetic to get the information you missed. Happy Reading!
Want to go to the dance? Join an afterschool activity? Play a sport? All of these are offered at NHS, but you need to have a Random Drug Testing Form signed by your parents on file to be able to participate in any of these.
With Homecoming Dance coming up soon, you definitely want to make sure your Random Drug Testing Form is on file so you can purchase a ticket for the dance! It's a form that a parent needs to approve or sign only once and it covers all 4 years here at NHS, so many of you already have it. Have your parents check your forms through their Parent Portal in PowerSchool. Have questions? Ask Student Services.
NHS ROBOTICS CLUB IS BACK UP AND RUNNING. COME TO THE CALL-OUT ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND IN ROOM 3014 DURING AL. REQUEST A PASS FROM MR. WILKINS FOR 2:40 AND SEE WHAT ROBOTICS CLUB IS ALL ABOUT.
