Planning to take a summer school class? The May 1 deadline is quickly approaching. Enrollments received after May 1 are not guaranteed a place in the course. Go to the school website and complete the summer school form and email nhs_summerschool if you have questions.
LIBRARY AUTHOR VISIT
It's time for the NHS Library's author visit! Students and staff can sign up for our VIRTUAL author visit taking place on Wednesday, May 19th at 11am. Anyone interested in hearing Wendelin Van Draanen, author of Wild Bird, Flipped, Runaway, and The Running Dream, speak should sign up at tinyurl.com/nhsauthor21. The link will be sent to you the week of the visit and her presentation will take around 45 minutes.
Students can also participate in our Miller Reader Club (MRC) for the visit! The first 28 students to sign up will get a FREE COPY of Van Draanen's book Wild Bird. MRC starts on Wednesday, April 28th. Sign up on the link above!

This year's prom will be Saturday, May 8 from 7:30-10:30 at the beautiful Willow Creek Barn in Frankfort, IN. There will be a DJ, dancing, food, beverages, yard games, a photobooth, and bonfires. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and safety concerns, only NHS Seniors may attend prom. Tickets will go on sale directly following Spring Break until April 30. They will cost $40 each and will be on sale in the front / main office. (Ask for Mrs. Cook or Mrs. Emmerson) You will need your student ID to purchase a ticket. Any prom related questions can be directed to Chelsea Nicholson, Allison Haley, or Janae Mobley.

Friday April 23, 2021. Noblesville Girls Lacrosse hosted the Westfield Shamrocks tonight as Noblesville celebrated Senior Night. Before the Senior night activities, JV Gold and Westfield played a very competitive game as Noblesville held on for a 4-3 victory. JV Gold moves to 5-1 on the season with the win. The Miller scorers were Madeline Frost, Ashley Nickloy, Brianna Miller, and Lyrric Barnett. The defense was led by Abigail Nickloy in goal with 5 Good Clears, 1 Ground Ball and 2 Saves. McKenzie Vitale had 2 Ground Balls and 1 Interception.
Noblesville had a pregame ceremony before the opening draw to recognize the class of 2021. Noblesville will send a program record 6 players from one class to play collegiate lacrosse next year. Andrea Costa will play at D3 Anderson University, Emily Blackburn and Sarah Travis will play for NAIA Marian University, Sidney Klinger and Mallory Miller will join D2 Walsh University, and Emma Potter will play at D1 Central Michigan University. The other 5 Miller Seniors: Chaney Cornell, Rheagan Haney, Meagan Wernke, Maddie Christie, and Brooke Miller, will all attend Purdue University and plan to play for Purdue’s Club Lacrosse team. The Senior night celebration was capped with a 21-3 victory over county foe Westfield. The Millers started all 11 Seniors and they delivered big results as the Millers held a commanding 14 -1 lead at half. Emily Blackburn, 1 goal and 2 assists on the night, found Meagan Wernke with a great pass and Wernke delivered the goal just as time expired to the end the first half. Wernke finished the night adding an assist as well. Rheagan Haney and Emma Potter each scored 5 goals, Potter added 2 assists. Sidney Klinger tallied 3 goals and 3 assists on the night. Maddie Christie scored twice and had an assist. Chaney Cornell scored once and picked up 3 ground balls and forced 3 turnovers. Rounding out the Senior scoring was Mallory Miller with a goal and assist and Brooke Miller with 1 goal. The win moved the Millers to 8-1 on the season. The Millers will host Culver Academies this Wednesday at Beaver Materials Field.

Saturday April 24, 2021. Noblesville JV Black team competed in the Brebeuf JV Invitational today. Game one was a rematch versus the Carmel Greyhounds. This game went back and forth and finished regulation at 5-5. The sudden victory goal went to Carmel for the 6-5 win. Katelyn Etchison and Marisha Woehler led the Millers with 1 Goal and 1 Assist each. Maya Narsinghani, Rylee Reagan, and Avery Pohlman each added scores. Pohlman added 2 Draw Controls. The defense was led by Emilia Bullock’s 8 saves and 1 Ground Ball. Lila Julian had 1 GB, 3 Forced Turnovers and 1 Interception. Other key contributors include Kate Seiler 2 Ground Balls, McKenzie Vitale 2 Ground Balls, and Mia Price 2 Ground Balls and 1 Draw Control. JV Gold will travel to Cathedral on Tuesday night.
After the tough overtime loss, the Millers were able to bounce back with a 6-5 win over Hamilton Southeastern. Another tough battle and close finish. The Millers were led by Avery Pohlman with 1 Goal, 6 Draw Controls and 1 Ground Ball. Marisha Woehler, Brianna Miller, and Rylee Reagan each added a score. Reagan also added a Ground Ball and 2 Forced Turnovers. The defense featured Emilia bullock recording 6 saves, Kyra Knight and Lila Julian collected 2 Ground Balls each. The win put the Millers into the consolation game of the tournament.
The Millers faced host Brebeuf in the consolation game coming away with a 6-0 victory. The six goals came along with 4 assists. Maya Narsinghani, Madeline Frost, Kaelyn Seyfried, and Tori Cook all had assists, Cook also added a goal. Marisha Woehler scored 3 times, while Avery Pohlman and Rylee Reagan each added a score. The defense had great support from several players. Lila Julian led the way with 3 Ground Balls, and 1 Forced Turnover. Nell Richardson picked up 2 Ground Balls and 1 Forced Turnover while Maya Narsinghani and Kyra Knight each collected 2 Ground Balls. JV Black will play host Wednesday versus Culver.
