Students,
Fall break is just around the corner and many of you still need to update your iPad to iOS 13.7. The best time to update is when you are connected to power and not using the iPad. You will want to complete an iCloud backup first as well as making sure you have enough space on your iPad. If you have any questions or concerns, please use the Tech Help icon on your iPad to make an appointment or to contact us using the Tech Issue Form.
FCA Club: There will be a Zoom call out meeting for the FCA Club on Tuesday, October 27th during AL at 2:45pm. The FCA Club is open to all students who want to connect with others and be encouraged. Please email Coach Keever (justin_keever@nobl.k12.in.us) or Mr. McCauley (brian_mccauley@nobl.k12.in.us) so we can email you the Zoom link for the meeting. Hope to see you there.
Are you competitive, witty, dramatic? Are you passionate about topics of importance? Did the presidential debate make you cringe? If so, The Miller Speech Team wants YOU! Our Call-out meeting will be held virtually on October 28th, the first e-learning day after fall break! For the Zoom meeting link, please email Coach Chase Elliott at chase_elliott@nobl.k12.in.us or Coach Fotiades at stephanie_fotiades@nobl.k12.in.us. We are looking for new talent, and we are excited to talk to you.
In the ASL club we learn about sign language and deaf culture. We welcome folks who are interested in learning sign language, and those who know ASL and are willing to participate. The ASL Club will have their first meeting via Zoom on Friday, 11/6 at 2:45. Interested students should email Mamma Huffman at carrie_huffman@nobl.k12.in.us to get the Zoom link
The GSA club is for the LGBTQ+ community and allies. We will have our first meeting on Zoom at 2:45 on Friday, 10/9. Interested students should email Mamma Huffman at carrie_huffman@nobl.k12.in.us to get the Zoom code.
Are you interested in a career in business? DECA provides a chance for you to demonstrate your business knowledge outside the classroom. The NHS DECA Chapter call-out is going on between now and Fall Break. If you want to join or need more information, email dan_nicholson@nobl.k12.in.us or tyler_milbee@nobl.k12.in.us. It is time for you to take it to the Next Level!
Picture Retakes will take place October 5,6, 8 and 9th, in the E-Gaming Lab (Room 1205).
Students will be asked to come down to have their photos retaken (or taken for the first time) during their English class. Attached, you will find a schedule. I know that this is another disruption to your class, but I am doing my best to limit the amount of time that students are missing your class. Students will return to your room with a pass. If you have any questions, please let me know!
Interested in Trivia? Want to show your friends how smart you are? Quiz Bowl is a fast-paced buzzer competition in which teams of four players compete to answer questions that cover academic subjects like literature and science as well as the broader world of culture and current event.
Contact Skylee Shaffer if you are interested or scan the QR code found in science classrooms around the school.
Guidance:
Do you enjoy helping animals or volunteering? If so, please join the Lend a Paw club for their first virtual meeting! Lend a Paw focuses on helping animals in the humane society by hosting fun fundraisers. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 7th at 1:30 over zoom.
