On Tuesday 4/16, the Academic Super Bowl teams competed at the State-qualifying competition. The Science team and Fine Arts team earned 1st place ribbons. The Math, Social Studies and Interdisciplinary teams all earned 2nd place ribbons. Great scores were put up during the competition giving NHS its best showing from the Academic Super Bowl teams!
Congratulations to the Fine Arts team of Oriana Fuenmayor, Kerrigan Fleming, Hunter Kramer, and Katie Witte as their high score qualified them for the State competition at Purdue University on May 4th!!
Join us at the Old Spaghetti Factory (918 South Rangeline Road, Carmel) Monday, May 6th from 5:30-9:00 to raise money for the Noblesville High School Parent/Teacher Organization. The Old Spaghetti Factory will donate 15% of your dinner's proceeds to NHS PTO. Must present the coupon (located in SS) or have a picture on your phone during your visit! The Mayor’s Youth Council is seeking applicants for the 2019/2020 school year. The program is free and open to students who live in or attend school in Noblesville, Indiana. The council will select one 2019/2020 eighth grade student from each middle school and the remaining council members will be high school students. This includes public, private, and homeschooled students. The Mayor’s Youth Council is looking for students of outstanding character to represent the voice of young people to city government. The council will advise the Mayor on issues relevant to youth, learn about municipal government and the importance of civic participation, and discuss and educate their peers on council initiatives. Students will have regular meetings and may attend events and activities related to their initiatives and interests. The application deadline for the 2019/2020 school year is Monday, May 6, 2019. Please mail or drop off your application to Michelle Glodowski, Mayor’s Office, 16 South 10th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060. You can also email your application to mglodowski@noblesville.in.us. If you have any questions regarding the Mayor’s Youth Council or the application process, please call the Mayor’s office at 317-776-6324.
Students who have requested to be a peer tutor for next year and who
have completed the online application can pick up a pass for an
upcoming AL meeting in room 2209. There will be two meeting dates: May
9 and May 15. You must attend one meeting to be selected as a
peer for next year.
A group of NHS students are traveling to Los Angeles next spring break, and you, too, could join in the fun of exploring Hollywood, visiting MGM Studios, spending a day at Disney Land…just to name a few of the awesome activities that are planned for this trip. Mrs. Nieten is the teacher who is leading this trip, and she will be holding an Interest Meeting on Wednesday, April 24th at 7 pm in room 3105. Bring a parent or guardian to this meeting as we will be covering travel dates, the itinerary, travel logistics, flexible payment options, and more. See Mrs. Nieten in room 3105 with questions.
Juniors and Seniors, get excited because Prom is just right around the corner. Prom this year will be at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Noblesville, near Hamilton Town Center. Tickets are $30 a piece and will go on sale starting this Monday, April 22 until Wednesday, May 1 in the Cafeteria. You must be a Junior or a Senior to purchase a ticket and have your student ID and that of your dates if they attend NHS. If you are planning on bringing a guest from another school, you must have an approval sheet completed BEFORE purchasing the ticket.

Attention all National Art Honor Society Members:
Due to the Senior meeting on Thursday and ISTEP, we will be moving the April meeting to the first AL in May. Please bring your t-shirts to print our NAHS logo on that day, Wednesday May 1st at 1:05.
Attention Summer School Students! If you are planning to attend summer school, please complete an application and turn it in to the Main Office as soon as possible. Applications can be found in the office and on the main page of the school website. The deadline is May 1. Please contact your counselor or Mrs. Miller if you have any questions.
