The NHS Riley Dance Marathon is this Saturday, March 16. It's not too late to sign up. See the signs up in the hallways. For those students already signed up and haven't picked up their t-shirts, be sure to stop by and see B-Rob in Room 2214. The marathon is from 1-6 p.m. Enter Gate 7 by the pool. In case you don't get signed up, you can still attend and pay the $10 registration and enjoy the fun-filled day. 

 

 

Attention NAHS members:

There will be a meeting in Mrs. Hahn's room during AL Thursday 3/14 at 1:15 

We will be tie dying shirts and voting on our shirt design!

The Black Student Union will be meeting this Thursday during AL from
1:15-2:25 in the Main Cafeteria. Stop by room 2205 or see Mrs. Young
for a pass.

 

 

The marathon is happening on Saturday, March 16th. Come to the marathon to enjoy food, games, dodgeball, dancing, and stories from Riley kids who have been impacted by your donations. 

 

 

IAL Seniors, your first IAL deadline for this semester is Friday, March 15th.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you have earned

3 points by this date.  Do your work early and often and don't risk  

losing your IAL privileges.  

 

Books to "Take and Keep" are now available on the cart in the LMC entryway outside the TEAL Room (Wettrick's class). Come pickup some good reads for Spring Break!

Prom is only a couple months away.  Are you still looking for that
dream dress?  If so, come to the $25 dress sale on March 16 at Monon
Trails Elementary.  There are thousands of new and gently used
dresses.  Is money tight this year?  If so, ask one of your
teachers to nominate you for a FREE dress - everyone nominated is able
to attend the sale early and get a free dress. For more information,

New Head Coach, Baylee Tobin, chalked up her first victory with the
Noblesville Millers Girls Lacrosse team last night by outlasting the
Trojans from Bishop Chatard 11 to 10 in the overtime victory on the
road.

The contest was a close match throughout the night, but the Millers
were able to keep the ball on their end of the field during the
3-minute overtime period and scoring the winning goal with .07 seconds
remaining in sudden victory on a wrap-around move and shot by Senior
Kylie Morris.  Morris led the Millers offensively with five total
goals for the evening on 4 of 8 shooting from the field.

Defensively, the Millers came up with the big plays at the end of
regulation and overtime to keep the Trojans out of the net.  Senior
Erin Wilson led the Millers with 7 groundballs and 2 key blocks, both
coming in the overtime period.  Senior Olivia Long contributed an
interception at midfield to lead the game-winning offensive attack
with only 45 seconds left in OT.

The Millers JV team lost a tough match against the Trojans 6 to 7 in
the first game of the night.  Offensively, the Millers were led by
Sophomore Brooke Miller with 3 goals, 3 groundballs, and 2 forced
turnovers.  Defensively, Junior Helen Tietz contributed 3 groundballs
and 1 forced turnover.

The Millers are back in action Friday, March 15th when they travel to
Louisville to face Kentucky Country Day High School.  The Millers home
opener will be Thursday, March 21st against Hamilton Southeastern
Royals.  This game will also be televised live on Hamilton County TV.

Seniors, there are many scholarship opportunities for students interested in pursuing any type of education after graduation.  Check the NHS Counseling Canvas page under "Class of 2019” as well as the school website under "Counseling" and then "Financial Aid and Scholarships" for all the updated list of scholarships available.  They will be updated every week with new opportunities so keep checking them out!  If you have any questions contact Mrs. Meyers in the counseling office.
