Noblesville's Riley Dance Marathon Committee is hosting a basketball tournament to raise money to donate to Riley Hospital. The tournament will be held during AL on March 12th and 14th. Sign-ups will be during lunch up until March 8th, or students can sign up using the link on the @noblesvilleFTK twitter. It costs $15 per team to register a 3-5-person team, or the cost is discounted to $5 to any team that has every player signed up for the marathon on March 16th. Money can be turned into Mattie Neely, B-rob, Ms. Soderlund, Ms. Muller, or the tables at lunch. 



If you are planning to go with Mr. Cole to Spain and Portugal in 2020, remember to enroll by this Friday before the March price increase.  Talk to Señor Cole if you have any questions.



Due to ISTEP testing during AL, the February 26th Dungeons and Dragons meeting has been cancelled.  The club will meet again on March 12th during AL.



The NHS Mock Trial teams, Lil Mock T & Level 5, advanced to Saturday's Hamilton County Mock Trial tournament round. Competitions have been going on since January, but results aren't available immediately. But in the tournament, Level 5 advanced with essentially a bye, and Lil Mock T handily defeated their opponents on Wednesday night. Wish the teams good luck Saturday!




Do you know what a healthy relationship looks like?  Bring Change to Mind is having a meeting during AL this Friday, February 22  where we will learn what it looks like to be in a healthy relationship whether it is relationship with a significant other, friend, or family member.   Any student or staff member is welcome to join us in Mrs. Turner's room in room 1256.  We will have food, games, and lots of fun!  Students can get a pass in the counseling office.  Contact Mrs. Meyers in the counseling office for any questions.

Purdue University will host their Women in Engineering Program on Monday, April 8.  If you are interested in Engineering (as a female junior student), you may register to attend at www.purdue.edu/WIEP.  You would be able to count this as one of the days you receive for college visits.  Pick up a college visit form in the counseling office.  This program is limited to the first 250 students who register.


Seniors, there are many scholarship opportunities for students interested in pursuing any type of education after graduation.  Check the NHS Counseling Canvas page under "Class of 2019” as well as the school website under "Counseling" and then "Financial Aid and Scholarships" for all the updated list of scholarships available.  They will be updated every week with new opportunities so keep checking them out!  If you have any questions contact Mrs. Meyers in the counseling office.  





The boys swim team had a nice finish at the IUPUI Natatorium this weekend. Senior Jack Wolfred competed in the 50 and 100 free events.  He broke his own school records in both events.  He placed 7th in the 50 free and went a faster time in prelims with a record of 20.86. In the 100 free he placed 10th and went faster in prelims in a record time of 46.34.  Cameron Kramer swam to a life time best in his 500 free with at 4:40.07 and just missed making it back in the top 16.  The 200-free relay of Kramer, Nick Beeson, Will Huff and Wolfred placed 22nd and the 400 free of Kramer, Beeson, Huff, and Wolfred placed 20th.  As a team, we placed 28th out of 80 plus teams. Head coach Rich Wolfred said "We had a very successful season and are looking to better our standings in years to come".


The Miller Girls Dance Team was named Regional Champs in AAA Hip Hop this past weekend! They were also the Regional Runner-Ups for AAA Pom. They head to State on March 9th - good luck Miller Girls! 



There will be a cheer call out meeting for the 2019-2020 season for both football and basketball teams on Tuesday, March 5th at 5:30 pm in the jr/sr cafe. if the interested cheerleader is not able to attend, a parent must be at the meeting to collect information



All Pro Dads is calling all NHS Dads (Mom’s and Grandparents are welcome also).  Want to have some quality time with your NHS student and some great fellowship? Friday March 1st, start time is 6:15 AM and finish by 7:00 AM. We'll meet in the Junior/ Senior Cafeteria - #3102, Enter via Door 4.  Breakfast is a Hardees Breakfast Biscuit (Egg and Bacon or Sausage) or muffin and Milk or Coffee, cost is $4 per person. The boys track team's first official practice was Monday. We're looking for some explosive young men for the throws and some crazy-fast ones for the hurdles. If you're a freshman or a sophomore with some speed and coordination, we're also looking for a protege to Mitch Conard in the pole vault. See Coach Kenley in room 1203 if you have an interest. 


The Noblesville Lions Club is sponsoring a Dodgeball Tournament that
will occur Saturday March 16th in the Ivy Tech gym. The club is asking

that one or two groups of high school teams

Entry fee is only $50.00 per team and team shirts will
be provided. There are two groups that you can compete in depending on
whether you are "blood and guts" or just out for a good time. This
year there will be a competitive league, and a recreational league.
If you have any interest at all, please stop by Mr. Smith's classroom
for entry forms. the whole. tournament will only field 16 teams so
first come first serve. When this announcement was written, 9 of the
16 spots were already filled.
