Still interested in visiting China? B-Rob and Mr. Abell are hosting another information/parent meeting on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 pm in Room 2214. It's not too late to get signed up. There are still spots open. See the signs in the hallways or stop by and see Mr. Abell or B-Rob.
Mr. Kenley is offering the only advanced creative writing class in the state of Indiana. What do you have to do to get in? Take Basic creative writing first or AP Junior English. What will you do once you're in? That's up to you. You can write a screenplay or a novel or a collection of poems. Whatever you choose to take on, Mr. Kenley will guide you. If you're a writer or a poet, sign up for Creative Writing with Mr. Kenley.
Purdue University will host their Women in Engineering Program on Monday, April 8. If you are interested in Engineering (as a female junior student), you may register to attend at www.purdue.edu/WIEP. You would be able to count this as one of the days you receive for college visits. Pick up a college visit form in the counseling office. This program is limited to the first 250 students who register.
Seniors, there are many scholarship opportunities for students interested in pursuing any type of education after graduation. Check the NHS Counseling Canvas page under "Class of 2019” as well as the school website under "Counseling" and then "Financial Aid and Scholarships" for all the updated list of scholarships available. They will be updated every week with new opportunities so keep checking them out! If you have any questions contact Mrs. Meyers in the counseling office.

There is a call out meeting for Unified Track on Feb. 19th in the
The boys track team's first official practice was Monday. We're looking for some explosive young men for the throws and some crazy-fast ones for the hurdles. If you're a freshman or a sophomore with some speed and coordination, we're also looking for a protege to Mitch Conard in the pole vault. See Coach Kenley in room 1203 if you have an interest.
