Sports

On Wednesday evening your Lady Miller Gymnastics Team competed against Lafayette Harrison, and Lafayette Jefferson High School and flipped right over Lafayette Jefferson with Noblesville's team score of 88.550 to Lafayette Jefferson's 76.2, but fell short of a victory with Harrison High School's team score of 101.725. The Lady Miller gymnasts competed their last home competition with their highest team score of the season thus far, all the while celebrating their two seniors, Devyn Palmer and Racheal Glasener for senior night 2019. " It was a great evening as we competed well, you could feel the positive energy throughout the whole gym, and it is always fun to end your home competitions on a positive note."

On Vault

Leading the way for the Lady Miller's on vault was senior, Devyn Palmer with an outstanding score of 8.275.  This was Devyn's first competition back competing on the vault from her recent back injury and she did not miss a beat.  I was very proud of Devyn as she not only performed well for her first time back, but she also scored the highest for the team on this event.  Following close behind Devyn was both of her teammates Junior Olivia Mangin and Freshman Kiley Reisner with their scores of 8.250.  Olivia continues to be solid for us on vault, and Freshman Kiley Reisner is improving greatly on vault as her scores continue to get higher and more consistent.  I was very proud of our vaults for tonight as we continue to stay strong with vault being our best event.

On Bars

We continue to struggle on bars as it is still our weakest event.  However, we are seeing our team score on bars rise with an 18.525 and our goal is to see the team score up by 2 more points by sectional time.  Leading the way for the Lady Miller's on bars was Junior, Olivia Mangin with a solid score of 6.825.

On Beam

Leading the way for the Lady Miller's was Junior, Olivia Mangin with another solid score of 7.950. Olivia continues to be strong for our team on beam and she is consistent, which is a great thing as we start preparing for sectionals.  We still have some improvements to make on beam, but our team score is rising on this event which is a great thing.

On Floor

Leading the way for the Lady Miller's was Senior Devyn Palmer with an outstanding score of 8.4 placing 5th.  Devyn is doing a great job on floor especially since she just returned from her back injury, this is another event where she didn't miss a beat.  Junior Olivia Mangin also had a great floor routine today with her score of 7.7.  Junior, Cailey Hurst was the 3rd gymnast that helped create the team score on floor.  We continue to improve on floor and our team score on floor is becoming consistent.  I was proud of the team on floor today.

In the All-Around

Leading the way for the Lady Miller's was Junior, Olivia Mangin with her all-around score of 30.725 which is Olivia's highest all-around score of the season, placing her in 7th for the competition.  Senior Devyn Palmer was just added to the all-around category for the first time this season and she did wonderful with her fist all-around score for the season of 29.45.

Over all, it was a great day for the team and I was very proud of all the girls today.  We will now prepare for our last invitational of the season this coming weekend at The Connersville Invitational at Connersville High School at 11:00A.M. Come support the team as they flip to another victory!
