Are you a junior interested in being an intern or a cadet teacher next year? Want an opportunity to leave school and have a career pathway experience in an area of your choosing? If so, come to the rescheduled internship/cadet teaching informational meeting on Monday, February 11 during AL. We will meet at 1:15 in the main cafeteria and send you back with a pass. If you have questions, see Mrs. Shonkwiler or Mr. Wilkinson in the main office.

D&D Club will be meeting on Tuesday, February 5th during AL in the Main Cafeteria. See Mrs. Robertson in room 2257 for a pass if you need one. Grades will be checked, so make sure you have everything in order before you come down.
There is so much to see outside of Noblesville. Would you like to see cities such as Madrid, Salamanca and Lisbon? Any student enrolled in Spanish at NHS can travel with Mr Cole and Mr. Slain to cities in Spain and Portugal in June of 2020. These trips have been a positive learning experience for students since 2008. Come to an informational meeting on Tuesday, February 5th at 6:30pm. Enter through gate 40 and go to room 1237. Contact Mr. Cole if you are attending. Parents are encouraged to attend.
"Ping Pong Club will have its first open play meeting of the year during AL on Tuesday, February 5th in the Auxiliary Gym. To attend you must get a pass from Mr. Dollaske in Room 2243 prior to the first meeting. Also, you must pay the $10 dues to join the club and be eligible for open play and tournaments. Subsequent meetings will be held during the first AL of each week until the end of the school year. Please check the Ping Pong Club Canvas course for any future announcements. If you are not enrolled in the Canvas course, please let Mr. Dollaske know and he will add you"
Mr. Kenley is offering the only advanced creative writing class in the state of Indiana. What do you have to do to get in? Take Basic creative writing first or AP Junior English. What will you do once you're in? That's up to you. You can write a screenplay or a novel or a collection of poems. Whatever you choose to take on, Mr. Kenley will guide you. If you're a writer or a poet, sign up for Creative Writing with Mr. Kenley.
Lunchroom- Military Visits
The following military will be visiting our school café during all lunches, be sure to stop by their table!
U. S. Army will be visiting our school café Tuesday, Feb. 12th
U. S. Navy will be visiting our school café Wednesday, Feb. 20th
U. S. Army will be visiting our school café Tuesday, Feb. 26th
Purdue University will host their Women in Engineering Program on Monday, April 8. If you are interested in Engineering (as a female junior student), you may register to attend at www.purdue.edu/WIEP. You would be able to count this as one of the days you receive for college visits. Pick up a college visit form in the counseling office. This program is limited to the first 250 students who register.
Seniors, there are many scholarship opportunities for students interested in pursuing any type of education after graduation. Check the NHS Counseling Canvas page under "Class of 2019” as well as the school website under "Counseling" and then "Financial Aid and Scholarships" for all the updated list of scholarships available. They will be updated every week with new opportunities so keep checking them out! If you have any questions contact Mrs. Meyers in the counseling office.
Your Miller Girls Dance Team won 1st in pom and 3rd in hip hop this past weekend at the Homestead Invitational, and freshman Kate Barker remains undefeated with her junior solo. Our soloists Kate Barker, Lyric Jones, and Audra Harrell head to Crawfordsville next weekend for the Semi-State and State Championship. Come support your Miller Girls as they perform their competition routines during halftime this Friday and Saturday in the Mill!
Our Miller girl swimmers brought massive time drops to the Carmel girls sectional this past weekend. Noblesville outscored 10 of the 11 teams to get the runner up trophy behind 1st ranked Carmel. Noblesville qualified all swimmers to come back to sectional finals and then were able to send all three relays and 3 individual events onto IHSAA State next week. Qualifying for state are the 200 Medley Relay with Jordan Cooley, Sammy Huff, Caitlin Marshall, and Abby Harvey; the 100 fly with Marshall; the 500 free with Marshall; the 100 breast with Huff; the 200 free relay with Gillian Cripe, Sophie Resner, Claire Yeakey, and Harvey; and the 400 free relay with Marshall, Cripe, Resner, and Huff. Huff was the sectional champion in the 100 breast. Good luck girls Friday at the IUPUI Natatorium!

The Boys’ Volleyball Team has a busy week this week with open gyms Monday through Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Main Gym and Thursday from 6:30-8:30 pm in the South Balcony.
On Wednesday at 6 pm in the Junior-Senior Cafeteria, the Boys Volleyball Team will hold a mandatory player/parent information meeting.
