Anyone interested in computer coding is welcome to join our free and inclusive club! No experience necessary. Meetings for this semester begin Tuesday, January 15th during AL. We meet at the coding PCs in the LMC. Stop by room 1211 for a pass. See Mrs. Steffen if you have any questions.

*** Attention JUNIOR Class ***

There are immunizations requirements for your Senior year. You need a 2nd dose of Meningitis (MCV4) vaccine AND you need 2 Hepatitis vaccines. These vaccines are required before you start your Senior year. One you've received the vaccinations, turn in proof of them to the school nurses asap. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask your school nurses.

Your NHS Thespians will compete at State on January 19th with their one-act play entitled "Know Your Role" by Brandi Owensby. Students, you are invited to join us Tuesday or Thursday during AL for a FREE preview of this state-qualifying show. As soon as we leave the womb, we’re bombarded by society’s expectations about gender. When achieving or defying these stereotypes, teens often find themselves placed on a pedestal, either one of glory or of shame. Whether it’s how we dress, the rules of dating, body image, parental pressures, or

a host of other ways, Noblesville High School ensemble members will expose how gender expectations affect teens today. To get a pass to this amazing AL show, stop by Student Services or see Mrs. Nieten in 3105.

Students, are you musically talented, funny or have a skill you want to show off? Sign up for an audition for Noblesville's Got Talent! Check your canvas message inbox for a google form that was sent during finals week. Once you sign up, you'll receive more information. Questions ask Ms. Oilar in the freshman center or Ms. Soderlund in 2203

Purdue University will host their Women in Engineering Program on Monday, April 8.  If you are interested in Engineering (as a female junior student), you may register to attend at www.purdue.edu/WIEP.  You would be able to count this as one of the days you receive for college visits.  Pick up a college visit form in the counseling office.  This program is limited to the first 250 students who register.

Parents and students in grades 8-11 are invited to attend the Noblesville High School Course Fair on Wednesday, January 16 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. in the Noblesville High School cafeteria.

Walk from table to table and learn more about the courses available at NHS. Explore courses in which you have an interest and maybe even discover a new course along the way! Teachers, in a variety of subject areas, will showcase courses by interacting and utilizing technology along with student representatives to illustrate their curriculum.

Attending the NHS Course Fair will allow students to make informed decisions when selecting courses for the upcoming school year. By exploring courses prior to decision-making, students will have a more comprehensive knowledge of the opportunities available and a greater understanding of what each course entails.

Remember, course selections for the 2019-20 school year must be finalized by April 30, 2019.

Our Bowling Sectionals were held in Anderson this past weekend.  The Noblesville Team finished 3rd and advances to this coming weekends Regional event.  They overcame a slow start with a huge final 3 games to move in to the Sectional Step ladder finals.  The top 3 teams will move on (Alexandria finished 1st, Elwood 2nd).

In the Singles events 11 Boys and 5 girls advanced to the Regionals.   We had 4 of our 5 starters move on.  On the Boys side, Sophomore - Nathan Smith (last year’s Boys State Champion) finished 2nd, Junior -  James Sutton and Freshman - Andrew Elliott tied for 9th, and on the Girls side, Junior - Taylor Smith finished 5th.   Andrew is the only Freshman from any of the schools in our Sectionals to advance.

Regionals will be Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Bowl 32 in Noblesville.  Singles begin at 9 AM, followed by Team event which will begin at 1 PM.  Admission is $6 for students.  We’d love to have everyone come out and support us and we’ll be done in plenty of time to make it back for the Basketball game that evening.
