Back to School Guide

Welcome Back!

Students return to school Monday, August 1, 2022. Elementary schools are in session 7:35am-2:35pm. Middles and NHS are in session 8:40am-3:40pm.

Class Schedules + Orientations

Elementary students will learn their class assignment during their school’s Meet the Teacher night on Thursday, July 28 from 4-6PM. Your school will send additional back to school information and details.

Middle school parents will receive specifics from their school regarding open houses (July 25, 26) and Meet the Teacher events (early August).

Freshmen will receive tentative schedules at their orientation on July 26. All freshmen should plan to attend. Register here. (If you need financial assistance or have questions, please contact Bailey Mann.) NHS grades 10-12 will receive tentative schedules via email a few days before school starts. All NHS students will access final schedules when they arrive on the first day of school.

Education is the heart of our mission and making enhancements to drive academic results is an ongoing commitment. Visit the new academic area of our website for a deep dive into our curriculum, assessments, teaching, and learning. Want to follow your student’s classwork? Sign up for a Canvas parent account.

Transportation + New Bus Tracking App

Bus routes will be finalized the week prior to school starting. When routes are finalized, parents will receive an email to check our online portal for specific route information. Buses typically run late on the first few days of school as we learn routes and parents take pictures. Students will not be in trouble for arriving late to school due to the bus.

New this year we are utilizing the MyView app by Zonar to allow parents to track and receive alerts regarding their child’s bus. Download in the app store and enter access code NOB53132022.

School Supplies

Elementary and middle school supply lists are posted on your school’s website. NHS does not maintain a supply list. NHS students should bring an iPad, notebook and pencil on the first day and will get more information on any needed supplies then. Need help with supplies? Go here or contact your school’s social worker.

School Calendars

Calendars for this school year and next can be found on our website here. Please note we have made changes to eLearning and flex days. (Flex days will be used if needed depending on weather closures.)

Miller Explorers Before/After School Care

Noblesville Schools’ Miller Explorers before/after school care is offered onsite at all seven elementary schools. You can register for morning care, afternoon care or both. For more information visit Miller Explorers.

Back to School BASH + Beaver Stadium Grand Opening

This year our biggest party will also be the grand opening of our new Beaver Stadium! Enjoy more food, games, sports, giveaways, music and vendors at the Back to School Stadium BASH Friday, July 29 from 5-8pm. The BASH will be at the new Beaver Stadium 1779 Field Drive and attendees should plan to park at Noblesville High School, Noblesville East Middle School or the Noblesville Schools Community Center. We can’t wait to see you there!

Food Services

Please note that the federal government is no longer providing free school meals. Breakfast is $1.50 and lunch is $2.25 (elementary) and $2.50 (secondary). Free meals and reduced rates are available based on income. Go here to learn more about free/reduced services. Visit K12 Payment Center to make lunch account payments. Visit food services on our website for menus and more.

Introducing ParentSquare Communications

New this year we’re moving to an enhanced communication software ParentSquare. We chose this tool specifically because of the features and conveniences it offers parents. No action is required to continue to receive school messages, but you might like to create a ParentSquare account and download the app to take advantage of many new features. Look for an invitation to set up an account coming soon!

Mandatory Re-Enrollment

Mandatory re-enrollment can be completed online through the PowerSchool Parent Portal where your student's current information is already pre-populated. This process must be completed prior to August 1, 2022 or your student will not be able to receive medical treatment or access technology tools. If you need assistance, please contact your school office or our Educational Services Center at (317) 773-3171.

Visitor + Volunteer Background Checks

We love having visitors and volunteers back in our schools! Be sure your background check is current and that you’re approved to visit school. Find more information here
