Electronic Music I & II

  • Grade Levels: 11, 12 

     
    Electronic Music I & II (Songwriting and the Recording Arts) is based on the Indiana Academic Standards for High School Music Technology. Students taking this course are provided with a wide variety of activities and experiences to develop skills in using electronic media and current technology to record, perform, create, and respond to music.  Focus of the course is on creating music and the ability to record and manipulate recorded sounds in a professional recording studio environment.   
     
     
    Prerequisites: Must have taken previous music classes to participate
    • A one year course (2 credits earned)
    • Fulfills requirement for 1 of 2 Fine Arts credits for Core 40 with Academic Honors diploma
    • Counts as a Directed Elective or Elective for the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors and Core 40 with Technical Honors diplomas
