Regarding finances, Hile reported that the school’s tax rate has decreased for
the sixth year in a row and the 2025 budget maintains strong reserves and
continues to pay off debt at an aggressive pace.

The address also touched on the district’s strong community partnerships,
student and staff recognitions, mental health services, multilingual learners
and the recent community survey.

School board president Christi Crosser introduced Hile at the event, praising
his recent accomplishments including training as an executive coach through
Harvard University, graduation from the American Association of School
Administrators National Superintendent Certification Program, and service as
the Vice President of the Indiana Association of Public School
Superintendents.

Guests at the luncheon enjoyed music performed by NHS jazz students, a
robotics demonstration, and a photo booth with the Miller Man mascot.
