Graduation Info - Class of 2026

Posted on Parent Square 2/2/26:

Dear Parents, Guardians, and the Class of 2026,

COMMENCEMENT 2026 GENERAL INFORMATION

Commencement is the last time seniors will be together as a class. It is the largest event sponsored by Noblesville Schools, and for many individuals, it is the largest ceremony in which they will ever partake. The Noblesville High School commencement ceremony is a striking visual and emotional experience cherished by its participants, relatives, and friends. To preserve the special nature of the ceremony, graduates are urged not to do anything before, during, or after the ceremony that will detract from its significance and dignity.

  • To participate in the commencement ceremony, students must be eligible for graduation (all required credits are passed and completed) at the conclusion of the spring 2026 semester (May 29th).

  • The attire for the commencement is ceremonial: dress shirt with a collar, tie, and dress pants; dresses or dressy pantsuits are appropriate. Casual sandals, flip-flops, and tennis shoes are inappropriate. Graduates must use the approved cap and gown from Jostens for the ceremony. (NHS Cap and Gown can be seen here). Students who arrive for the commencement ceremony in inappropriate attire will be excluded from the ceremony. Extra decorations on caps and gowns are not permitted.

  • Disruptive or disrespectful behavior by seniors during the weeks before commencement will not be tolerated. Seniors who are disruptive or disrespectful may be excluded from the commencement ceremony or be required to return to summer school to complete the requirements for graduation.

  • A live web stream of the ceremony at www.HCTV2.com on their website.

2026 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY INFORMATION

  • The commencement ceremony will be held on June 2nd, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Corteva Coliseum, located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

  • Main Coliseum doors will open at 5:30. In years past, the Coliseum staff has been complimentary about how nice, calm, and respectful our guests were compared to other events. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.

  • Please note that you will enter through a security checkpoint when you enter the coliseum. Be prepared to pass through metal detectors on your way in.

  • No tickets will be required for admittance into the ceremony. All general seating is first-come, first-served.

  • Parking for the ceremony will be $10 per vehicle. This parking fee is assessed by the Indiana State Fairgrounds, not Noblesville High School.

  • We will have a photographer on-site to capture pictures of the graduates as they exit the stage with their diplomas. Information on how to purchase these pictures will be included in the commencement program.

  • ADA accessible parking is available throughout the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.  Please look for signage and parking attendants to assist.  Patrons who need an ADA accessible entrance may utilize the designated drop-off areas directly adjacent to the front of the building.  When parking in the infield, if you require additional accessibility or use a mobility device, please use the tunnel covered by awnings at the southwest corner of the infield. (Refer to the attached map).

  • Graduates are responsible for their own transportation, concluding the commencement ceremony - there will be no school transportation provided or available.

  • Parents and/or guests are not permitted in the pre-ceremony staging area (Champions Pavilion)

  • Graduates will walk alphabetically to allow parents to anticipate their entrance and the presentation of their diplomas. Exceptions: Seniors with a role in the commencement ceremony will enter first and sit in the first two rows.

  • Commencement speakers are selected through a teacher panel process. This panel will select 2 speakers. Information on how to apply and audition will be sent to students via Canvas in the coming weeks.

ADA/HANDICAP SEATING AND RESERVED SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER SEATING

Handicap (ADA) seating will be available in the designated ADA areas. ADA seating is located at the top of sections 200, 202, 206, 209, and 216 off the Main Concourse, as well as sections 300 and  302 off the North Deck (3rd Floor). All three floors are elevator-accessible. Each person requiring ADA seating will be allowed one companion to remain with them during the commencement ceremony. Please ask Coliseum staff for assistance as needed.

  • Requests for seating near the sign language interpreter or for visual impairments can be directed to Ms. Hannah Dwyer, senior class sponsor, at hannah_dwyer@nobl.k12.in.us. To honor your request, please email Ms. Dwyer by May 16th, 2026. Due to proximity needs, guests will only be permitted to reserve two (2) seats. The extra seat allows a caregiver to sit with the guest in need.
