Voluntary Drug Testing Program – Noblesville High School

Noblesville High School offers a Voluntary Drug Testing Program designed to support families in identifying and deterring student drug use. This confidential program promotes a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment for students involved in school activities such as driving, dances, extracurriculars, and FLEX scheduling.

Students and their parents/guardians must submit a consent form by September 1 to participate. Once enrolled, students remain in the program unless a formal withdrawal is submitted. Students not involved in eligible activities may still join the program voluntarily.

Participation does not impact academic standing. Parents are notified if a student tests positive, safety measures may be applied, and activity privileges may be affected. Students refusing a test after enrolling will lose certain privileges for one year. Lab confirmation of positive results is required and is the parent's responsibility.

This program does not replace existing school policies regarding substance use when there is reasonable suspicion.

For more details, including procedures and consequences, please refer to the NHS Student Handbook and access the consent form in PowerSchool.
