Masters Degree from Ball State Bachelors Degree from Purdue University

Miss Nicole Walters

Hello, my name is Nicole Walters. I am entering my first year at White River as a Title 1 Teacher. I am excited to continue my career path in Title 1 and am extremely excited to work in Noblesville.

This will be my 8th year of teaching. I previously taught two years of 5th grade (one year in Florida and one year in Portage, Indiana-- my hometown) and taught five years of Title 1 in Plymouth, Indiana.

I graduated from Ball State in 2012 with my Masters degree in Reading and Literacy Curriculum. In 2008, I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement.

A few of my favorite things are:

~ Reading (both professional and personal selections)

~ Crocheting (this is a hobby that my Mom and I love to do together)

~ Cooking (Rachael Ray and I share the same birthday so I feel that we are secret best friends)

~ Sports (I grew up playing a variety of sports, but softball was my #1 sport. I coached softball for 3 years in Plymouth. My favorite teams are the Chicago Cubs, Purdue basketball and football, and the Chicago Bears)

~ Music (I enjoy going to many concerts, buying records, and discovering new bands. My favorite bands are Red Wanting Blue, Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters)

~ Spending time with my family and friends (I have two brothers, Adam and Matt. Adam lives in Valparaiso and is getting married in February! Matt lives in Cincinnati with his dog, Jeter. Both my parents still live in Portage, Indiana. My Mom is a Title 1 Assistant at an elementary school in Portage. My Dad has been a steel worker for over 15 years)

~ Laughing (Because its the best stress relief)
