Welcome to ECAT- the Early Childhood Assessment Team

ECAT provides a comprehensive, educational evaluation for children two and a half to five years of age residing within the 4 school districts that make up the HBM Special Services Cooperative.

We evaluate the areas of speech and language, social, fine and gross motor, cognitive and preschool readiness skills. Members of the team include a school psychologist, an early childhood special education teacher, a speech language pathologist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, a  parent contact and a secretary.  Other professionals may also serve on the team as needed.

Most children attend a two morning evaluation class.  These classes are held every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.   During the two mornings the ECAT professionals observe and conduct formal assessments in the areas of concern for approximately 4-5 children each week.

 ECAT members include:

Frankton-Lapel, Hamilton Heights, Noblesville and Sheridan school districts
