Attend the NHS College/Career/Military Night in September.
Take the SAT and ACT if you need to for college admissions or scholarship contention. See "Important Dates for Seniors" below. Register for the SAT atwww.sat.collegeboard.org. Register for the ACT at www.actstudent.org.
Register for the NCAA clearinghouse if you are a prospective Division I or Division II athlete at www.eligibilitycenter.org. Registration is mandatory!
Attend the NHS Financial Aid Night in January with your parents to understand how to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
File the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov by March 10 if you plan to attend post-secondary school next year. Go online to register for college and scholarship/financial aid searches.
Visit the scholarship page on the Guidance website weekly. Follow @Miller_Guidance on Twitter and listen to the daily announcements. Apply for all scholarships for which you are eligible -- scholarships are awarded to many types of students.
