    What is a Learning Specialist?
    A Learning Specialist is a mentor of students as they practice strategies for learning.  Together with parents and teachers, we engage students in goal setting and learning with purpose.  We empower students to use strategies for critical thinking to achieve their goals. We inspire students to share thier accomplishments, creative ideas, and unique perspectives with their family, their classroom, our school, community, and the world.
     
    Important Work of Learning Specialists:
    • Collaborate with students and teachers to help students set, monitor, and achieve learning goals
    • Confer with students one on one or in small groups
    • Provide and support professional development
    • Support families with educational learning resources
