Academic Development
Academic development in an intregal part of the educational process. In concert with the disctrict's instructional model, Noblesville school counselors work directly with students and collaborate with classroom teachers, other education professionals and families to help build curioisity and academic skills needed to be the best learners possible.
The Noblesville school counseling program builds the foundation for life-long learning through activities guided by the following competencies:
- Develop attitudes, knowledge and skills necessary for effective learning (time management, organization, study skills)
- Apply critical-thinking skills to make informed decisions
- Explore available programs, courses and opportunities
- Identify short- and long-term goals related to areas of interest and desired postsecondary plan
