Suicide Awareness and Prevention
Noblesville Schools recognizes that suicide is one of the leading causes of death for Indiana youth. We believe in partnering with students, families, school staff, and the community to ensure all of the needs of our students are met. Our school staff is provided with training through QPR (question, persuade, refer) to understand the warning signs of suicide and how to appropriate refer an individual to a mental health provider. Our school counselors, school social workers, and administrators receive additional training on how to assess for risk factors and how to refer students and families for extra support and assistance. If a student needs help or is concerned about a peer, he/she can submit the information on the SpeakUp App located on school issued devices.
