Public Records Request
Public Records
Thank you for your interest in Noblesville Schools public records.
Indiana’s Access to Public Records Act (“APRA”), Indiana Code §5-14-3-1 et seq., provides the framework for requesting information from a governmental agency. APRA states that, “it is the public policy of the state that all persons are entitled to full and complete information regarding the affairs of government and the official acts of those who represent them as public officials and employees.” (Indiana Code §5-14-3-1) However, some public records are subject to exemptions, may not be disclosed under various circumstances, or may be disclosed at the discretion of the agency.
Noblesville Schools requires all records requests to be submitted in writing. Please submit your request via this form.
Noblesville Schools charges a copying fee of $0.10 per page for non-color copies, and $0.25 per page for color copies (Indiana Code §5-14-3-8(d)(1)). Pursuant to Indiana Code §5-14-3-8(e)(2), Noblesville Schools requires that payment for copying costs be made in advance. Depending on the nature of the request, other fees may apply.
The APRA requires public agencies to produce public records, should they exist, within a reasonable time based upon the circumstances. Please note that this can take several weeks to review and process depending on the nature of your request.
