Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Saler

My earliest memories of days spent in the classroom are playing and helping my parents, both (now retired) Indiana public school teachers, prepare their rooms for the new school year! Growing up, I had many influential teachers who instilled in me a love of learning and inspired me to pursue a teaching career.  My formal education includes earning my B.S. in Elementary Education from Valparaiso University and my Master's Degree from Purdue University.  My elementary teaching career began with 2 years of experience in Illinois, followed by 7 years teaching in the Duneland School Corporation in Indiana before our family relocated to Hamilton County.  Over the course of my career, I have taught 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and preschool aged children.  I am thrilled to be part of the Noble Crossing staff as a first grade teacher!

At home, I have two elementary aged children who teach me something new every day.  We also own two pet cats that serve as great alarm clocks every morning!  When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, running, spending time with family and friends, family movie nights, listening to all kinds of music, and sipping my morning coffee slowly on the weekends.

At school, I work hard to build classroom community among students and with families because I believe that building relationships with one another leads to the biggest gains, both academic and social.
