💡 Current Technology Updates (revised 1/14/21)
1. Clever is investigating issues with the Clever Portal, Clever Dashboards, and partner applications for some users. They are working to resolve the issue. View their status page to read future updates, https://status.clever.com/
2. 4th-12th Grade Student iPads will need to be updated to the latest software as soon as possible. Devices will continue to receive a prompt until updated.
After updating, students will need to immediately turn off "Private Address" ("Settings" - "Wi-Fi" - select the "i" next to NSC_Corp and toggle off the "Private Address" option). Otherwise, they will not be able to connect to NSC_Corp.
3. CANVAS Images & iOS 14: Images are not showing up on the Canvas App for iPads updated to iOS 14.2. To fix this issue for students or staff who are on iOS 14.2, go to the iPad's "Settings" - "Canvas Student" - Turn on "Allow Cross-Website Tracking" and "Reset cache on next launch."
4. CLEVER & iOS 14: If Chrome is the iPad's default browser, the Clever app will not work. The student will receive the error, "Safari has been disabled." Students will need to change the default browser back to Safari to fix the issue by going to iPad's "Settings" - "Chrome" - change "Default Browser App" to Safari. -
Basic Troubleshooting
1. If you receive an error or slowness, refresh the browser by selecting the circle with the arrow to the right of the URL. This may need to be completed several times. If that does not resolve the issue, please continue to work through these steps.
2. Update iPad Software (if already updated, go to Step 3)
3. Close all open applications (double click the home button, use a finger to swipe up on each open application)
4. Grades 4-12 iPad - Turn OFF "Request Desktop Website" (Go to Settings - Safari - open Request Desktop Website - Slide Off). Grades K-3 will not have this option.
5. Clear Web Browser History (Stay in Settings - Safari - Clear History).
6. Make sure Pop-up Blockers are OFF (Stay in Settings - Safari - Block Pop-ups - Toggle OFF)
7. Complete a hard restart (hold home & power button at the same time, letting go once the iPad turns black and Apple logo appears)
