Hello!  My name is Wendy Wright. I grew up in Iowa and received my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa. Upon graduation, I began my teaching career in Wichita, Kansas.  After I was married, my family and I lived in Northern Virginia for 17 years.  A few years ago we were given the opportunity to return to the Midwest and continue raising our two children.  In my teaching career I have taught third and fourth grades, math intervention, ELL, and Kindergarten. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to teach at Stony Creek and work with the dedicated and professional staff at this wonderful school. The enthusiasm and love of learning that Kindergarten children bring to the classroom makes me look forward to being with my class every day, and is why Kindergarten is my favorite grade to teach. When I am not in the classroom at Stony Creek, I enjoy riding my bike, reading, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to a great year of learning and growing together and building our classroom community with your children!
