Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Mindy Carter
I am a graduate of Indiana University (1996) with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I started teaching for Noblesville Schools during the 1996-1997 school year. I received my Masters Degree in Education from Ball State in 2000. I have two children, Alex (13) and Liz (9). I have a husband, Dane, who just turned 40 (last year) and decided to get his pilot's license. Although he is a good pilot, I've only flown with him twice! I do not like small planes. I have two awesome dogs, Ringo and Lucy! Lucy was adopted from the Humane Society.
Teaching is great profession. I have always wanted to be a teacher, except in third grade when I thought I wanted to be an astronaut.
Teaching is never boring, and you NEVER know what your students are going to do or say when you introduce a new concept! I think that's the exciting part! I like to see students get excited about a book or a character in a story. I like to read stories that students have written about family members and friends. I like to see a child smile when he/she gets a really difficult math problem correct! I like to witness students trying new things and thinking new thoughts! It's so awesome to see a classroom of boys and girls come together as a little community and help each other out! That's what I LOVE about teaching!
