SAT PREP is a college entrance exam prep course designed to enable students to improve their scores by providing greater test awareness and learning test strategies. This class incorporates preparation on the multiple-choice portions of the SAT as well as practice with the written essay.
The class consists of ten 2-hour sessions to prepare students for the May 6th SAT. The dates of the sessions are Tuesday, February 21st, Monday, February 27th, Monday March 6th, Monday March 13th, Monday March 20th, Monday April 10th, Monday April 17th, Monday April 24th, Monday May 1st, and Thursday, May 4th.
Students have two times from which to choose:
3:00pm - 5:00pm OR 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Please come into Guidance to pick up a registration form or download it from the NHS website. Return the registration form to Guidance along with a $70 check or exact cash. Students will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Classes will be limited to twenty students in each session.
Don’t forget to register for the May 6th SAT at www.sat.org. The registration deadline is April 7th. 21st Century students and students who qualify for textbook assistance may see their counselor for a fee waiver.

Attention any students interested in yoga! Yoga begins on Monday February 6 after school in the band room. If you have experience or have none at all, you are invited to try a new after school student Yoga Club. It will be a great stress relief, good company, and will also include a compassion project picked by all the members. You will need to have a signed waiver when you attend on Monday. An info sheet and waiver is available outside the band room, room 3009, in the hall behind the auditorium for you to pick up any time. Email Bethany Robinson if you have any questions!
All textbooks can now be checked out from and returned to the LMC. Textbooks will no longer be available from the Main Office.
Students-the Mr. Noblesville program will be held on February 14th at 7pm this year in the NHS Auditorium! Come out and see some of the boys of NHS battle it out to be named this year's "Mr. Noblesville." It will surely be a competition full of entertainment and talent! Any junior or senior who would like to purchase a "Golden reserved" ticket, which will guarantee you a seat towards the front of the auditorium, please see Mrs. G in room 2238. The Golden reserved tickets are $7 and you must show your student ID to verify that you are a junior or senior. There are a limited number of these tickets, so first come-first served! All other general admission tickets are $5 and can be purchased from Mrs. Dwyer, Mrs. Gilbert, Mrs. Ringle, Mrs. Steele, Mrs. Wittstein, Mrs. Morarity or Ms. Mann. Hurry and buy your ticket before they're gone!
Summer School registration is now available. Check out the Counseling website to register.
It’s that time again for the Riley Dance Marathon. There are application forms in Student Services. Once you fill out the forms, you can turn them and your money during lunch.
Hey seniors!
Did you know that there are 3 CICF scholarships that are specifically for NHS seniors? Check them out in on the scholarship list in Naviance! Online applications are due Tuesday, February 7th and nobody has applied! The Church, Church, Hittle and Antrim Scholarship is for an NHS senior who plans to pursue a degree in the area of Accounting, Law, Medicine, or Ministry. The Gerry and Sherry Fortner Education Scholarship for a senior planning on pursuing a degree in Education. The Viola Pfaff Bowman Memorial Scholarship is for seniors who have served on the newspaper and plan to pursue a degree in communication. To be considered for any of these scholarships you must complete the CICF scholarship application. This application allows you to be considered for multiple scholarships at the same time. See your guidance counselor if you have any questions!

Sports
Our girl's swim team competed in sectional prelims last night at Carmel. As in Miller tradition, ALL qualified and will return Saturday for finals. Our ladies turned in best times in all events and looked great in the pool. Diving starts at 9:00 Saturday with the finals meets starring at 1:00. Best of luck Lady Millers!

Hey all you dodge ballers!!!
The brackets are made, and the balls are pumped. Now, all Students Against Cancer needs is for your teams to show up ready to play on February 7th during AL. If you did not receive a player pass to release you from AL, be sure to pick one up from Mrs. Fotiades in room 1217. The elimination games will be held in the upper gyms beginning promptly at 1:45. Don't forget your tennis shoes! See you there!
Attention to all that are interested in Unified Track And Field: We will be having our callout meeting during AL on February 7th. There will be a meeting at 1:05 for those with IAL and a meeting at 1:35 for those who stay during AL.
Boys Track begins Monday, February 13th. All athletes must have completed physical and RankOne forms completed before beginning practice on the 13th. The team will meet in the upper South balcony at 3:00 pm for an informational meeting followed by a formal practice until 5:00 pm.
All athletes who will be participating in the 2017 Track campaign are required to attend practice on Monday February 13th. Also, if you have not completed your Impact testing, next test date is Friday February 10th with the Athletic Trainer.
