Wellness

Schools can play an important role with parents, caregivers, and the community-at-large in helping students make good nutrition choices and providing opportunities for participation in regular physical activity. A district Wellness Policy (8510) and a Wellness Advisory Council have been created to address issues related to student wellness, particularly through health and physical education and food and drink choices offered to students during the school day.
