Summer recreation programs and camps

Baseball

Summer Skills Camp
Improve your skills and knowledge of the game by learning count theory, developing your own approach to the plate, learning the proper way to prepare as a pitcher and becoming the best defender possible.

June 16-19 at Dunker Field
Grades 5-6 from 9:00 -11:00 a.m.
Grades 7-9 from 11:30 - 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $50.00 per camper. $30.00 for additional sibling. Register by June 6 to receive a t-shirt.

Equipment needed: Helmet, bat, glove, and catchers gear (catchers only.)

Basketball - Boys

Miller Shooting Camp
Daily drills and emphasis will be placed on different forms of lay-ups, shot technique, jump shooting, and free throw shooting. Daily drills and competition will be performed.

June 2-5 at NHS
Grades 6-9 from 2:45-4:15

June 9-12 at NHS
Grades 3-5 from 2:45-4:15

Cost is $30.00 and includes t-shirt.
Directed by Coach McCollough and staff.

Miller Fundamental Camp
This camp is designed to incorporate as many drills and competitions as possible. The lower level grades will emphasize fundamentals plus have a free throw competition, skills competition, 3/3 competition. Awards will be given out at the completion of the camp. Winners will occur at each
grade level. The upper grade emphasis is to incorporate as many Miller drills as possible, to famililarize players with drills they will see at the junior high and high school levels. They also will have free throw, skills and 3 on 3 competition. We also try to bring in a guest speaker for the players.

June 16-20 at NHS
Grades 1-5 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Cost is $50.00 includes t-shirt.
Grades 6-9 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Cost is $60.00 includes t-shirt.

Directed by Coach McCollough, NHS staff, and NHS players.

Money for camps is due May 23.

Basketball - Girls

Fundamentals Camp
Each girl will have the opportunity to have a great time and develop their basketball fundamentals by working with the varsity basketball coaching staff and high school players. Fundamentals camp will cover the following skills: Shooting, Passing, Ball handling , Defensive positioning, Screening, and Rebounding.

June 9-13 at NHS
K-5 from 8:00-9:30 a.m.
6-8 from 9:45-11:15 a.m.
Cost is $40.00 for this session or $70.00 for both camps.

Shooting Camp
Our Shooting Camp will focus on the fundamentals of shooting. This should be an excellent camp for your daughter to improve one of the most important skills in basketball. Shooting camp will break down the skill of shooting into: Footwork, Shooting and guide hand positioning, Follow-through, and Shooting off the catch and off the dribble.

June 16-20 at NHS
K-5 from 8:00-9:30 a.m.
6-8 from 9:45-11:15 a.m.

Cost is $40.00 for this session or $70.00 for both camps.

Football

Grinders Football Camp
The Grinders are the Noblesville Elementary Football League Travel team. They are current 4th and 5th grade players selected by the Grinders coaches. The camps are organized to develop player fundamentals, leadership skills and team building exercises. The cost to attend all four camps is $50. Each player attending the camp will receive a camp T-shirt.

May 18 - 21 Grinder Technique Camp 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Dillon Park Fields
June 15 – 18 Grinder Mini- Camp 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Dillon Park Fields
July 13 – 16 Grinder Team Camp 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Dillon Park Fields

6th Grade Father/Son Football Camp
This camp will enable the Noblesville High School coaching staff to start developing a relationship with the players at the current 6th grade level. The camp will allow the staff to properly teach the drills and skills we believe are most important. The most important skill we teach is FUN.

May 27-29 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Hare Chevrolet Field.

Cost is $30.00 per player. Each camper receives a t-shirt and daily treats.

Miller Middle School Spring Football Camp
This camp will enable the Noblesville High School coaching staff along with the middle school football staff to start developing a relationship with these players currently in the 7th and 8th grades. The camp will allow the staff to properly teach the drills and skills we believe are most important. The most important skill we teach is FUN.

May 27-29 from 2:35-4:30 p.m. at Hare Chevrolet Field.

Cost is $30.00 per player. Each camper receives a t-shirt and daily treats. This camp involves the players wearing helmets and shoulder pads. We will be fitting all campers with equipment on Friday, May 16 from 2:35-4:00 p.m.
